Our Journey
It seems only yesterday Wiggle Waggle Pet Hotel 18 years ago was only a vision with a goal to create an alternative to the traditional Kennel. Wiggle Waggle was started in 2003 as an “in house” drop off for the canine. The property offered “Free Roam” requiring supervision at all times. The necessity of a safe place for our fur-friends triggered the need to expand and secure.
Wiggle Waggle was now mapping out a plan.
- Fencing the entire 1 ¼ acres —————-Safety First
- Building an attachment to our residence encouraged customer awareness promoting our “NEW CONCEPT” as a PREMIERE PET PLAYGROUND.
- A Pet “FREE ROAM” amenity.
- Our customer base soon sought transportation, requesting pick-up and drop-off. We were inspired!
- The search was on for a unique far sighted image that would do the job, but also aided in getting the word out! “MARKETING TOO”! The 1989 Bluebird Bus – aka THE DOG-GONE WAGON – personally designed – made a “BOLD” statement around the Okanagan until 2021. The Wiggle Waggle Pet Taxi travelled to support concerts, fundraisers, SPCA Events, Okanagan Small Dog Society (ie) Foster & Adoption, Dog Guides (ie) supporting people with disabilities, Christmas Events with pictures with your Man’s Best Friend, and lots more fun events.
We would say our “STAND OUT” EVENTS to truly brag about were:
- PUG PICNIC: Over 100 attended (pugs) on Wiggle Waggle Property —-the Pet Taxi a true winner!
- VERNON WINTER CARNIVALS – Cruising down main: Staff, volunteers all decked out! Dressed for the theme the Winter Carnival presented over the years. We won many times for BEST IN OUR CATEGORY. Those “DOG-GONE DOGS” riding along peeking out the bus windows or strutting in front dressed as HOT DOGS was a captured moment in time (COOKING WITH CARNIVAL was the theme at that particular time).
- KOMASKET FESTIVAL – Westside Road – got to listen to music in a dog role of pick up and delivery – how amazing is that!

Today Wiggle Waggle is Wiggle Waggle Pet Playground Day Care Only! Wiggle Waggle is “The Alternate Choice” Raw Food provider. PETS GO RAW food is sourced out of Cranbrook, B.C. Offers FOOD FOR THOUGHT! Feed your Dog & Cat healthy, nutritional Raw Food. It’s a Dog Thing!
